This is another song from the movie Delhi Belly. The main guy dressed as disco fighter in this clip is Arup (played by Vir Das), and he storms into his ex-girlfriend’s wedding (or so he daydreams). What he says before he starts singing and dancing is so funny but it’s not in this video - pls watch the film!
今日のvideo of the dayは「デリー・ベリー」から”Jaa Chudail”。確かchudailは魔女みたいな意味だったような。。。この曲は、このビデオの主人公アループ（ヴィール・ダスが演じています）が元彼女の結婚式に突入するという内容。不満を歌にして彼女に詰め寄るのですが、その間に周りの皆は彼の大ファンになってしまう、というものです。
この会場に登場した直後にアループが言うセリフが面白いので、映画を観てください！（この部分はビデオには含まれていないので。）
I Hate You (Like I Love You) - Delhi Belly
Such a tacky disco song but I love this. I think this is an “item number (song)*” of this film, and it stars Aamir Khan as the Elvis-lookalike disco fighter (with a long scarf and R-rated dance moves) and the actress Anusha Dandekar, who also appears in the film as a superficial VJ Soniya. In the film, it’s sung by Soniya during an interview done by the protagonist Tashi and Menaka (who roll their eyes at every move that Soniya makes).
*An item song means a song in an Indian movie that doesn’t have much to do with the story itself but is very important. It stars some actors/actresses who don’t actually play in the film.
これは映画「デリー・ベリー」のアイテム・ソングとなる曲で、プロデューサーを務めた人気俳優アーミル・カーンがエルビス似のディスコ・ファイターを演じています。長過ぎるマフラーとR指定を受けそうな踊りが笑えます。（「アイテム・ソング」というのは、インド映画に出てくる曲／ビデオで、ストーリーには関連がないけれど重要な曲で、出演者に含まれない俳優が踊っている曲のことのよう。）
女性のメインのダンサーは、映画にもVJ（ビデオ・ジョッキー）として登場するAnusha Dandekar。映画では中身のなーい感じのVJを好演しています。
とにかく悪趣味でキャッチーなディスコ・ナンバーですが、やみつきになります。
From the movie Delhi Belly. Reminded me of Green Day (sorry) when I first saw this video, but it’s more than that :) I heard that the lyrics of this song were controversial, as the chorus, if you say it fast, it sounds like they are swearing in Hindi.
インドでもこんな曲作るのか、とちょっと嬉しい驚き。ボーカル役のイムラン・カーンのメイクとか曲調からしてグリーン・デイを彷彿とさせましたが。。。曲名の”Bhaag DK Bose”の部分は、早口でいうと放送禁止用語に聞こえるとかで、インドの若者に人気があるみたい。
